Children are safer because now their parents cant exploit them by sending them
to Neverland Ranch then making lies to get paid

I think the press pretty much ruined him, and he did the rest. We have to
understand it's a human being we're talking about, and nothing less than a
supreme showman whose amazing career spanned decades, tragically culminating in
a sad and unworthy demise. Too bad.
I was never a fan, but did find his music and stage performances entertaining.

I was only a fan during the Jackson 5 era. His adult life was just too bizarre
and today's music just sucks.

Being nearly the same age as him, it was kind of like watching a childhood
aquaintance make good, grow up, and become a train wreck. I remember what a hoot
it was as a kid seeing this other kid with so much talent. And though I don't
care for watching awards shows I happened to be watching the night he wowed
everyone with the moon walk.
I have to say though, I have to wonder why he was so embraced by the black
community when he spent his adult life trying to become white. I have a feeling
that that attempt to change his appearance is what may have ultimately led to
his death - he sure didn't look well for many years.

I have always been amazed when I see a child with singing talent but the
amazement disappears when they grow up. There have been many on America's got
talent and Britain's Got talent who are so good at a young age but will grow up
and become just another singer.
