During Operation Desert Storm, AH-64s were credited with destroying more than
500 tanks plus hundreds of additional armored personnel carriers, trucks and
other vehicles. They also were used to destroy vital early warning radar sites,
an action that opened the U.N. coalition's battle plan. Apaches also
demonstrated the ability to perform when called upon, logging thousands of
combat hours at readiness rates in excess of 85 percent during the Gulf War.

i love the targeting system in the apache. look and pull the trigger. + the

I've never had to kill anyone, thankfully. but several have been disarmed and

Yep, we punched a couple of really big holes in a few Russian T72's and some
APC's.
I struggle a bit with my humanity, and I let the tank crews ditch when they saw
me coming...poor guys didn't have much fight in 'em...

Yeah, fossil, you've got a good memory. That titanium plate holds my clavicle
and scapula together. Thanks to a well placed RPG that hit the cockpit, which
did some damage to the rotor transmission as well. Safely limped it back to base
with an escort.
