women serving over there in the sandbox right now. Shitty way to spend your

Nobody ever said war is a picnic, but one of the main objectives of war is to
kill more of theirs then they kill of ours.

It's obvious from the still standing lamp-posts, power lines and intact
pavement that is nothing more than a road-side dumping ground. Where's the
Litter Patrol when you need `em?

This is true. We have wrecking yards for old vehicles and they have the sides
of roads. That might work out better becuse you can get the spare parts for
free, have you ever tried to get a part from a salvage yard here?

Jgoins, umm...I think Blah's post was
sarcasm.

one of my drill sergeants said it best...
it's okay to die for your country, but it's a whole hell of a lot better to make
the enemy die for his fucking country!

I agree, if it were bombs destroying those, there would be a lot more damage
not only to the vehicles but to the surrounding areas.

I worked with someone that went to saudi arabia in the mid 1980's and he said
that it was nothing to see a fairly new mercedes or other expensive car just
pushed off the side of the road into the sand...he said that when they broke
down, they just abandoned their car and bought a new one...
I would guess that this is merely some sort of dumping ground for old vehicles
and the ones that are turned over are because someone wanted some of the parts
from the under side...

NOW!, going back to the original poster, maybe you (David_S..)
should check first who got blown to pieces in said road, they
weren't "innocent people" they were the Iraqi invaders in Kuwait
trying to get back to Iraq with the loot they stole.
So who's the CUNT! now...
(stupid people give me gas)

Talk to someone who was there about what really happened.
Orders were given to attack and immobilize the lead and trailing vehicles of the
convoy of escaping Iraqi Republican Guard units and army conscripts, which
stretched more than 20 miles. Everything in between was obliterated. I know
because I was flying in the first wave of the attack.
After action cleanup revealed hundreds of small arms and munitions caches,
explosive and incendiary materials, RPGs, and stolen Kuwaiti possessions.
Regardless of how you all feel about this, the army was all but neutralized and
rendered incapable to regroup and pose a threat later.
The attack on the convoy does remain to this day the single most controversial
act of the 1990-1991 Gulf war.

Controversial, that is, if you are one of the many assholes at CNN and the BBC
who worked overtime to turn this into the issue it became later.
In the end, we and our coalition partners emerged victorious and vindicated.
My only regret is that we were stopped short of rolling into Baghdad.
