So, as it turns out, I missed the anniversary! The first successful image
upload we made was on the 12th of October, 2003.
#plus613 is now 20 years old!
That also means I'm getting fucking old... this sucks.
Anyway, it's been a hell of a ride. A lot of positives, a lot of negatives; but
always a bit of crazy fun.
I don't know where DK is anymore, and revert disappeared from the site about 15
years ago; but I wanted to thank everyone who's made the site what it is. The
moderators, both of plus613 and porn613, the users of both, anybody who donated
when we were desperate for cash to maintain the growth; every single person who
has clicked on an image, posted a comment, or done a picture rating.
This site would simply not exist without you.

Nope, the forum didn't exist, and the image comments were using home-grown
code, before we downloaded and mangled an off-the-shelf forum software to
squeeze it into a plus613 shaped hole.
You should feel offended by this image. I think that's fair.

website.
"We attempted to do this migration a few days ago, and ran into immediate
and constant problems. Most of them were self inflicted stupidity, but we
eventually patched this thing together and got it moved. We appreciate the
support during that time and glad we were able to get it moved over
successful
Why you move servers ? We found a newer, faster, better server for much less
money. The new server will allow us to keep running said website just as we have
for almost 20 years without having to worry about keeping the lights on. Running
Meme websites isn't exactly the most profitable thing in the world in this day
with Giant tech monopolies controlling all of the traffic and money on the
internet. So, finding some less expensive hosting was a good step for us to
continue on with our shit posting and degenerate content. Hope you will all keep
joining us for years to come."

Congratulations and stuff. Sorry that I haven’t been around much. The
political shit is just that, shit. It was way more fun in the days of badly
photoshopped celebrity faces on random porn pictures and Shadez going off on
religious holidays. It was sort of fun being a moderator too, but what was
really fun was meeting Shadez Fossildigger and Mr Kim in the real world, that
made the crazy on this website fun. Well that’s all I have to say about that.

That's cool that something good came from the site. I wonder how many users have
met each other over the years? Back towards the start there was a big UK
contingent that I think had some little meetups too. Very sad, I've never met
anybody from the site. Though maybe passed woberto passed out under the bridge
near my old place, who knows?
Yeah the political shit is shit. I couldn't care less about any of it, but
whatever, it's up to people to upload what they're interested in. Apparently a
lot of people love it, I dunno why. Anybody who loves a politician is a
fruitcake.
There's been a lot of assholes over the years; but there's been some genuinely
cool people.
woberto; I fully understand the pain of moving servers/hosting. Especially the
most recent move which I did by myself and effectively had to both reinstall all
the hosting systems from scratch, with no list of the software we depend on (and
I wasn't smart enough to note it down this time, either.. wonder what the shell
history has); but also upgrade both code and versions of that software since the
versions we were relying on were the better part of like 10 years old. Now
everything is up to date and shiny and new. Until the next thing breaks
something.. like FastCGI. Again.
It's still a complex beast, this site. More than it needs to be. But hopefully
it's designed in such a way that it's as fast as it can be. It flies for me;
even though it's hosted like 30 metres from where I'm sitting, even when I use
it I have to go out to the internet and back so it should be representative; at
least for Australian users. US/Euro users it will be slower.

Sorry to say, I don't have any real plans; I think I posted in the forum when I
made the last hardware switch to this platform that it was likely the last work
that would ever happen here. There'll likely never be another meaningful code
change, just a little bit of back end tuning.
Eg, to let you know my coding skills I can't figure out for the life of me why
after reading PLP's comment and modifying the upload page, it still tells you to
go to porn613. Where the fuck does that live if not in the code? Why is it still
doing that? I've removed that line.
Cached by one of the proxy nodes? Cached by cloudflare? Fucked if I know
If it's still there tomorrow I'll look more.
One day I'll draw a logical diagram of how this all hangs together. It's quite
interesting. At least to me

Found it! Maybe I need the diagram for myself. The code exists in 2 places, I'd
modified it in one of them. Turns out, the place where that particular code
isn't called from.

Well, I created it with my own stable diffusion setup, using the logo colour
palette etc and using influence from some logos and album artwork from a record
label called Hospital Records.
So it's "mine" as in it's not stolen
and I designed it, but I didn't
draw
this one. Logos/lettering are always by me, though.

pulse, I had not heard of stable diffusion before.. I checked it out and it's
pretty interesting.. didn't seem to like making nsfw images though
