Putting words in people's mouths again Beast? Flush.

Well jgoins I have to say I tend to agree with you that this is not what the
story has reported Maliki as saying.
[

I'm really not sure just who Beast is trying to attack here with his emotional
caption. Iraqis? Americans?
Anyway, I can understand what they mean when they say ...
"that there is a patriotic feeling among the Iraqi youth and the belief
that those attacks are legitimate acts of resistance and defending their
homeland."
I seem to recall John Stone commenting that if it were his homeland that were
invaded he would have little choice but to do whatever to resist that
occupation, and who could disagree with that?

It was to make americans see that the Iraqi "exiles" that got us to
remove Saddam for them don't care that the US has servicemen dying for them.

they may not be appreciative now, but wait till they realize what they
have.
they've never had freedom before and don't know how to act
aDCBeast Report This Comment Date: June 16, 2006 07:51PM
The only freedom they wanted was from Saddam\Sunni rule.
Their power will be short lived when Iraq falls into all out civil war.
This action is a continuation of the same philsophy that has marred Iraq for
centuries.
They won't get past the sectarian differences and thus fail. again.

all true if we leave, but we are committed to following all the way through
now.
and don't ask how far that is. i don't know, nor does anyone else.

The US will leave Iraq. It is .... their country and not the US.
Now that the Iraqis above are in power they want complete autonomy. They say
"yes" and nod their heads to Condi and Bush but they want us out
badly.
this was the problem with the Bush admin. They believed the Iraqi exiles
promises. A smart person would be wise to look at their past lies and realize
they are still lying to US officials.
The lied about WMD, the Iraqi people wanting the US there, getting a govt. setup
that was not heavily slanted toward the shia.

why would Iraq( the new govt.) tell us to hit the road? they know they won't
survive if we leave.

Fossil
The people of Iraq want the US military out. The Iraqis think they can handle
the sectarian violence (they can't) because they had sectarian violence even
with Saddam.
The Iraqi people want the foreign fighters to stop medling with their country.
They are pissed off that the Bush team changed the focus of terrorists in the
region to their country. Thus showing a complete disregard for Iraqi life.
So far the Iraqi government is only a paper tiger. They have no power. They have
accomplished nothing.
However, If you thought Saddam was an ego maniacal nationalist, you are saldy
mistaken. Iraqi men all are.
The new Prime Minister is a prime example of this. He likes to spout a lot of
tough talk and beat his chest and look good to the crowds.
This will lead for a request by the Iraqi parliament for the US military to
leave Iraq. The leaders of Iraq have already asked for the US to scale down the
military presence but that was thrown aside for political reasons. They didn't
want to look like they left when the job wasn't done as Bush I did during Desert
Storm.
