Nash Metropolitan, probably the earliest attempt at a truly American economy
car. 50 years ahead of it's time. And ahead of me on the way home.

G'day Quasi,,,,,,If that's a Nash Metropolitan, then they were built in
England
by the makers of Austin cars, specifically for Nash, from 1954 to 1962.

Thanks rrj, I wasn't aware of that. I knew that Bantam had cars based on the
Austin a couple of decades before this but didn't know of the association of
Nash & Austin. Not surprising, really.
