This mammoth skeleton took years to extract from the permafrost of eastern
Siberia. It is from an adult male Mammuthus primigenius. It stands 10 feet high,
5 feet wide, and is 17 feet in length. The tusks alone weigh 132 pounds! The
Skeleton is ~95% complete with over 50% of the bones coming from the same
individual. When a bone was missing, a similar sized bone was obtained from the
fossil remains of another mammoth
