There was a very hip TV show (about ten years too early) on Fox in the late
'90's called "MILLENNIUM". One of the better writers wrote a couple
or three episodes that parodied American TV (including Chris Carter's own shows)
and the show got itself cancelled for doing (only better) what Network
dung-piles like "Jericho" are lauded for now.
At the end of the "Millennium" installment of this character arc the
guest star (Charles Nelson Reilly) humbly proffered his character's (you'd just
have to see it, but it was nearly the best hour of entertainment TV I've seen in
the last ten years....) humble predictions for the coming Millennium:
One Thousand more years of the same......old......crap........
Roger that, Charlie.
Or to encroach on the comic book TV craze:
Impeach A Bushfuck.
Save the World....
