Very cool. I've never seen him before, but I've been away from the city for way
too long. Is he out there regularly? If I make it up that way next month, I'll
go check it out.

Looks unbelievable, but there's some pretty talented people round there,
especially down towards the wharfs where the tourists go. Be interesting to see
if it's for real.

i was there last summer and he was still there. its real. watched him setup
like 10 rocks in about an hour or so. he just picks them up, looks at them for
a bit, and then tries it out. after you've tried it a few times, it really isnt
all that hard!

I visited San Fran on my way to Napa. We rented bikes to ride across the
bridge. On our way we came across Bill Dan balancing rocks. We had to stop, as
it was one of the coolest art forms I have ever seen. Mr. Dan was happy to take
pictures with us. He is a zen master.
Our trip to northern Cali was focused on food and wine, but I must say that our
time with Mr. Dan was my fondest memorie.
Rock on my good friend!

Anonymous 80194 - It is not really that hard if You just stack the Rocks up as
suppose to Balance it Up on a little tiny point [ By the way how big was the
contact point on Your Rocks ? ] Furthermore, Try to Counter Balance as Bill's
work - also on the tiny Point.

I am impressed and had to try it myself.
Went out and balanced a soda can on top of a rock, two sticks side by side and
stepped in dog crap while doing it. Oh well....
