This was the intersection in front of my house. This lovely water came through
it, and yeah up through the floor boards etc; boards all ended up warped, and
now we've pulled them up & kitchen etc it's shown that there may have been
movement in the stumps, and all the joists etc under the floor are damaged etc

Of course if it goes down within the hour and the sun comes out it's not so
bad.
But when it stays like that for a week it's game over. Oh and the smell.
I lived in Wave Street for 2 years, aptly named next to the canal...

A few years ago we nearly bought 38 Wave St.
Bid on it but decided against it at whatever price it went for in the end.
It went down in an hour or two at our place, but still doesn't help. Damage was
done. Some guys a few doors up who weren't hope to mop up have been out of their
place from NYE to today and counting.
The annoying thing is I knew flooding was an issue; we're 50m from the canal.
But it wasn't the canal... we moved the cars next to the canal for safety.

Yep. It only takes one blocked drain. Good luck on this one pulse.
