I'm putting together a playlist of music for a monster Halloween party at my barn. Rob Zombie's = Hellbilly Deluxe = is a great CD in that theme.
Any other ideas? I'm open to suggestions.

If you're looking for a good heavy,adrenaline filled
rock cd that is good from front to back you could
pick-up Monster Magenet "powertrip".


sidenote: House of 1,000 corpses was fantastic and
The Devils rejects sucked IMHO

Fetus, you mean the "movie" house of a 1000 corpse? I haven't seen it yet. Waiting for The Movie Channel to run it. You should see what some ppl are saying on the IMDb.com message board for this movie. Alot of complaints, others defending Rob's movie. Here's the link:

Never saw Devil's Rejects, and thanks for the heads up. House of 1,000 Corpses got some surprisingly high marks for all of the '70s horror film kitsch and cinematography, so maybe I'll have that going on the bigscreen during the party. I'll check out Monster Magnet. Appreciate the advice Festus.

I watched Devils Rejects about 8 months ago and was
in a lousy mood&couldn't wait for it to end.I just
re-watched it and must say it wasn't that bad.

Yeah Jared I looked at the reveiws&what a mixed bag
of results.I still like it and you can only judge it
for yourself.

My opinion is slightly biased cuz I think some
viewers watch it on a crappy 19"T.V. and I have
a pretty wicked Home Theater system which makes a person appreciate a good movie so much more.Peace&

Beer, pumpkins, haybales, and funky old farm implements in a 80 year old barn with horror films and heavy metal music. Fun!

Though it isn't heavy metal, throwin in some clips from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" would seem fitting for a Halloween bash.

Here's a few interesting choices too : Talking Heads "Psycho Killer" and "Wild, Wild Life", Ted Nugent"Stranglehold", The Allan Parsons Project anything from the disc "tales From Mystery and Imagination" though especially "The Raven", The Avalanches "Frontier Psychiatrist" (the video to this is fuckin wacked !), The Beastie Boys "Whatcha Want" , The Cars "Moving in Stereo/All Mixed Up", The Cure "Fascination Street".

Just a few thoughts, but as I'm sure you can tell I'm not much of a metal head.

Talking Heads "burning down the house" is a great
song and also its so well produced that it sounds killer on a good stereo.Maybe Iron Maiden number of
the beast&Black Sabbath children of the grave.

I like most music within the rock genre except hard core metal, don't like anything that leaves me wanting to bang my head on shit !

I have a pretty varied collection that I just recently kicked up to a full 99 gigs in the ole data box. When trying to throw together some music for my Bday party last June I wound up burnin off 5 DVD discs worth of just favorites :>

Actually, being a youngster in the 1980's, I have most of that music already. Most of it on vinyl, and it spins just fine on my trusty Denon turntable. I was thinking music to match the occasion, so I'm rounding up whatever I can. Good advice on Monster Magnet's "Powertrip" Festus..I found it used in excellent condition at a local music store for $8.
