Hi Beast. Better brace yourself for all the conservative, Republican,
Bush-loving assholes who hang out here.
They're too damn stupid to realize that, if their party had its way, forums like
this wouldn't even exist.
Impeach Bush and repeal the ridiculously-named "Patriot Act"
immediately!

Beast you are so full of krap. You put stuff up here with nothing to back it
up. You take a picture of Bush and put your own words on it and some morons
believe it really happened.

Try reading the newspaper cunt rag.
Bush signed a treaty yesterday that justifes North Korea's and Iran's position
with regard to nuclear weapons.
Don't let nuclear
inspections occur until the americans will become business partners with your
country.
Nevermind that these countries now have nukes that coulb be stolen and launched
by terrorists.
Bush has run the US into ground,
undoing the work of every president since FDR.

Well beast you should make up your mind. When all the talk was about doing
something about Iran you were against doing anything. Now it seems you are
against doing nothing. Or is it that you are just simply against anything Bush
regardless of what it is?

I was against Bush's plan of using the military to attack Iran or North Korea. I
am 100% behind diplomatic talks and inpections. Do whatever it takes to allow
inspectors to see if their nuclear pursuits are safe. Don't make stupid Limbaugh
assumptions as to their pursuits.
I am against countries that let us only inspect their civilian nuclear sites
while their military sites go unchecked. India. Soon Pakistan.
There is no justification for the US or countries that we are friendly with to
violate the non-proliferation treaties that the US spearheaded so US companies
can do business in their country. Selling your safety for big business will
always bite you in the ass.
One thing has proven true. That if you don't ask for something, you won't get
it. Unfortunately with hardheads like George Bush you have to ask in very
threatening ways.

fossil_digger Report This Comment Date: December 23, 2006 04:37PM
GUNBOAT DIPLOMACY used to work.
jgoins Report This Comment Date: December 24, 2006 12:01PM
Gunboat diplomacy still will work if we use it and then leave the countries to
rebuild themselves instead of trying to rebuild them ourselves so we can get bit
in the butt.

When you attempt to bend the world to your will, you bear the burden of
rebuilding what you break.
Diplomacy has worked well throughout history. After getting its assed kicked for
not achieving a world wide solution about terrorism and Iraq, the Bush
administration is resorting to some real hard work called diplomacy. And it's
working.
Here is a homework assignment. Since you think diplomacy is useless, I want you
to find 3 issues where the Bush administration has used diplomacy to advance the
interests of the US. Diplomacy. Not Aquiesence. The British are suckups.
I give you a hint. try northern africa.
It seems even C- student Bush has learned that the US can't go it alone in the
world.
You must have been a F student if you are still lagging behind.

Beast you seem to be unable to hold and intelligent discussion without insults.
Your childish insults will never get me riled or upset in any way and I will
never stoop to your level.
Diplomacy can only work when all sides understand that there has to be a point
where a line is drawn and diplomacy is considered a failure. Never ending
diplomacy is not the answer for anything.

Still lagging behind. So sad.
Diplomacy is NOT about setting up a line in the sand.
That means there was no attempt at diplomacy. It does means that one side
attempt to force their view on the other side.
This thought typifies many conservative americans who support president Bush.
They want to force their views on others.
You do this.
fossil_digger Report This Comment Date: December 25, 2006 10:26PM
so the U.N. sanctions, inspection teams, etc, etc. etc. don't count as
diplomacy?
you have to lie alot better than that.
jgoins Report This Comment Date: December 26, 2006 12:41PM
Diplomacy has it's place but diplomats will never admit when they have failed.
If it were left entirely up to them then diplomacy would be never ending failed
attempts. In all diplomacy there has to be a recognisable point when diplomacy
has failed.

aDCBeast Report This Comment Date: January 08, 2007 04:32AM

UN sanctions are not diplomacy. UN Sanctions are the step before failure.
War
being failure.
Zero diplomacy was pursued with Iraq. Saddam let the atomic agencies see his
weapons systems and plants and that wasn't good enough.
What was he supposed
to do ? Let them see WMDs that did not exist ? If he could do that then he
really would have been a mastermind.

The minutes of the meeting between Saddam and Ambassador Gillespie have been
widely circulated. The tape of the meeting was documented by every news
source.
It's true.
As the world watched the military build up at the Kuwaiti border, Saddam called
a meeting with then US ambassador April Gillespie, who told Saddam: "We
have no opinion on the Arab-Arab conflicts, like your border disagreement with
Kuwait." She went on to say: "James Baker has directed our official
spokesmen to emphasize this instruction." (San Francisco Examiner,
