I'm not Catholic and I think organised religion in general is ridiculous with
the power and attention heaped upon the Pope being particularly silly, but I
have to ask, didn't you do any stupid things when you were a child and what
would you have done in a society where failure to conform could have meant your
death and/or the deaths of your loved ones? The Nazis were (and are) a very
deplorable thing but a child of that age isn't really in much of a position to
go against that kind of terrorism. I've raised four kids and there's no telling
what they'll do at that age, but he may have done it to save a loved one or just
to be able to hang out with his buddies. Who knows?
Thanks for putting me in the position where I feel the need to defend the Pope,
nimrod.

Ah yes, the future Commies of America, wishing death on anyone that disagrees
with them. Isn't it funny how they want everyone to "share" and be
"equal" but that's because they would murder all of the population
that they seen as a threat, the people left over would give.... and give and
give and give.....
Here shadez, listen to this guy, an Ex-KGB.

Though I am personally diametrically opposed to Catholicism, and in truth, all
religons, I certainly would not wish any ill will against anyone of any faith
who's not bent on wishing death or ill will against other segments of the world
outside their own chosen realms of faith.
Best to temper ones political ideologies with a bit of understanding and
tolerance even when others are not in agreement with your own, whether they be
religous or political in nature

nah, I ain't got time to check that out. Fuck the KGB
The New Synthesis
if you actually read that, I'm sure you don't have the time or balls to, you
would see that under socialism, dissent should not only be allowed, but also
fostered. However reactionary cunts will likely do anything to stop the rev and
go back capitalism, including terrorism. That can not be tolerated. It would
not, however, involve going to another country and bombing shit out of it like
the US does. It would be a case of taking these assholes in and letting the
masses decide their fate. Personally, I'm fucked up, so I would like to see such
a person be brutally tortured... but my views do not represent those of the
masses or even the communists, necessarily

actually I unite (and struggle, and unite to struggle against oppressors) with a
lot of people with religious views. The Catholic school girls in Chicago on
Easter Sunday for example.
The head of the Church, however, is not someone I would unite with. What kind of
fucked up things does Catholicism actually promote? While a lot of the followers
of that religion, and all other religions, are inspired to fight against that
shit from their religious convictions, while at the same time the doctrine from
these same religions actually reinforces the same crap that they are opposed to.
That is the contradiction between conviction and doctrine. And of course you
have the religious reactionaries, take the KKK for example.

Come on people, most of you know prety well that during the Nazi regime you
didn't had a choice, you either joined the Nazi Youth or they cut your balls
off.
And if you don't like religion it's OK, but please respect other people's right
to worship.

^^^^^^ Seemingly typical of a zealots wishes ^^^^^^^
"And if you don't like religion it's OK, but

I just reread the entire thread above and find no denial or anti-religous
statements at all about denying anyones right to worship whatever ficticious god
one might choose to.
If you seem to need permission to worship, I think you've missed something .....
which is of course a decent description of how I feel about all followers, so,
Hi Ho

I think you missed the insults, bullshit etc. lay of the crack for a
while..

^^^^^^^ I suppose the mentioned "insults, bullshit etc." you
mentioned ^^^^^^^^ must, in some twisted way, mean someone is denying your right
to worship, though seriously that logic train seems to be runnin down an empty
track without even a set of rails to guide it
Let me put forth another perspective : Everyone, even those who disagree with
your thoughts, still have a right to them. In case that one isn't quite to your
liking, here's more : they have EVERY BIT as much right to them as you do your
own thoughts!
One more thought is that what to an athiest comes off as religous humor is often
taken as blasphemy or worse by "people of faith". With that in mind
it really comes down to a point of perspective about how one reacts to things
dudn it?
BTW, the only crack I'm guilty of partaking of is the one between my G/F's
thighs and I'll be damned if I'll leave that stuff alone, so sorry
