Nah, it's ain't a Beemer. There was one of these in my neighborhood when I was
in elementary school. It's an Italian 3 wheeler, but I can't recall the name

It's called an Isetta, and yes BMW did make them, but weren't the only ones to
do so.

And BTW Mrkim - it wasn't a 3 wheeler (unless it was a very early original
which are very rare) - the rear wheels only had a 19inch track though - chain
driven and no differential.

Ok, so I stand corrected, but honestly, with a name like Isetta I sure didn
figure BMW had any hand in 'em. Yep, the one in my neighborhood was a 3
wheeler. A buddy of mines Mom had it and drove it around the neighborhood from
time to time in the early 60s
