That tells a story of the people who frequent the room.

It tells the story that there's a turn type button rather than the push type
button that should be on the door - pushing a button designed to be turned is
counterintuitive and the excess of signage is for humor directed at someone who
forgot that particular door has the wrong button. It's something like many years
ago when I'd drive a manual transmission truck at work all day then get in my
own with an automatic to go home and plop my left foot to the floor in an
attempt to push in the non-existent clutch.

If it's just humour aimed at one person, don't you think it's overdone?

The redundancy IS the humor if the person has made the mistake several times or
several people have forgotten more than once. It's an attention getter without
being overly obnoxious. I guess you actually have to have a sense of humor to
understand it.
