Let me relate a strange truth .... the world is racist quagmire. Build a bridge and get over yourself, it's your best option.

Censorship of ideologies is the weapon of the weak, timid and those who feel confronted by individualistic thought. Always take great care before calling for such actions lest you find yourself squarely in someone elses sights at some point.

Philosophical discussion brings possibility while censorship simply kills off any chance of such possibility

To borrow a title from Pink Floyd "Careful With That Axe Eugene".

What you say is basically true, and that is what I propose in the second half of my initial post; the first half is referring to the rules of this site where is says - and I quote from memory - "We are not the Klu Klux Klan" - or words to that effect.

I fail to see how this is racial in any way. It has been my experience that when some one calls racism, that person is infact a racist.

IMHO, I find it racist because the poster wants to punish the Jena 6 by hanging.

1) Hanging sounds a lot like lynching to me.
2) The crime the 6 have committed is not a hanging crime.
3) Also the business of what happened in Jena, and in particular the aftermath which has become seriously infected with all sorts of wild claims and accusations from both sides, will not in any way improve by shouting (or posting) "hang'em".

What is needed is for people on both sides to take a step back and ask themselves if anybody in that community is helped by what is going on.

Sounds like a reasonable assessment Dennis. I agree both sides have blown things waaaay outta reasonable proportion and a fair amount of racism seems to be afoot on both sides of the fence.

My suggestion is all parties try to divest race from the core issues and view it with a more humanistic light and address the illegal acts by both sides as simply that. Ain't too likely to happen though. Like I said, the world is a racist quagmire, makin such attempts at sane solutions quite difficult

This is one of the rights we will be losing here in the States if we let the N.A.U. become a fact. To lose the Souvernity these great nation has, will cause a major effect of distruction around the whole world.
