Our gas prices are a direct result of the amount we waiste driving when we
don't really have to. If we cut down on unnecessary travel thereby reducing the
amount we use then the gas prices will not rise and may come down somewhat. The
CEO of Exxon said the prices will keep going up if the people continue to pay
for it.

Jackson about child care you think?

Exxon has yet to pay 1 cent for the Valdez fiasco. they are invincible.

The CEO of Exxon was merely answering a question on why the prices are so high
on gas. His answer is finally something honest and not a trumped up answer like
our expenses are higher or the price of oil is up or some crap like that.
People just don't seem to understand that the prices are determined by what the
market will bear. As long as we keep paying the higher prices they will
continue to up until we start conserving and stop paying it. So in actuallity
the high prices are our fault as well.

And if you thought that the big oil companies didn't notice you driving a big
gas guzzler SUV or H3.....you're a dumbass
I think that right now we are at a point where the oil production and worldwide
demand are about even, so if you owned oil producing land/wells would you:
A: pump more oil and get $80- a barrel
B: pump less oil and get $100+ a barrel (maybe $200 next year)
please don't blame the oil co. for your oil addiction, they exist to make $$big
bucks not to give you free gas, better yet buy stock in Exxon and a smart car.

You are correct, the big oil companies are in it to make money. If you want to
blame someone for the high prices thenn blame yourselves for wasteing gas. As
long as we continue to pay the price they will continue to raise the prices.
Conserve gas that will halt the increase in price if everyone starts doing it.
