Are you sure it's a harvest? It looks a lot like a stranding and the people on the beach are there to return them to the sea on the next high tide.

I see now. In this picture, the baby Dorito hatchlings have emerged from their burrows under the sand, and are now embarking on an incredible inland journey to store sheleves and retailers everwhere.
