I think they used hot dogs for extremities.

Agreed, looks like hotdogs in a bacon shell with cheese filling.

Just looked them up: "Ground beef patty topped with sharp cheddar cheese, wrapped in a bacon weave shell with hot dog head, legs and tail."

Oh and... baked in the oven.
