I heard like this... women who making up at trains are "Hookers" or "Signs of lookimg for a lez partner" in America, Europa etc...
But in Japan it is beeing natural phenomena.

It's a fairly common sight on British trains - not considered particularly "shameful"....and certainly a lot less irritating than all those morons yakking away on cell-phones.

I disagree Tommy, I don't think that women who do their make-up in trains are hookers or lesbians. It's quite common in the USA at least to see a woman adjusting her make-up in public, it doesn't mean anything special.

Anyway, the US has very few trains, so as shaDEz says, most women adjust their make-up in cars, or on public buses.

If I see a girl/woman putting on her make-up while on the train I just assume she is either running late or touching up.
