Looks okay, don't like the wheels and IMO it needs side skirts if you're going to put the lip spoiler on it.

I'm sure it's got decent power, but the fast and the furious bonnet ("hood"winking
smiley doesn't do much for me either.. smiling
smiley

Looking at a bmw 3 series at the moment. It'd be nice to have a car again..

Edit: Also, the bonnet ("hood"winking
smiley doesn't fit, you can tell the gap looks wrong between it at the front of the car. The gap is uneven. Also the door doesn't look right, again a funny gap between the door and the front left wheel arch panel.

Yeah I love those signs. Full of class smiling

And what's wrong with the Cruze? It's a beast! Actually I'm looking at trading it in for a new one (the turbo). My brother works for Holden so I get a good discount on them (that's the only reason I have one, trust me). I can't stand the POS but then I don't really drive it.

Do you want to buy the websites? grinning smiley

I'm pretty sure they must be worth at least $50.

I've got $50 but I don't have enough for the upkeep.
Holden & Opel are fine but I just can't bring myself to appreciate a front wheel drive car.
Anyway, my sources tell me you could get at least 5grand.

Hehe

[valuethiswebsite.com]

Apparently the website valuer is worth $67.

According to it, plus613.com is worth $2568, plus613.net is worth $5463. porn613.com and porn613.net aren't available (but their traffic is much, much higher than plus613).

Using that as a basis it reckons plus is worth about $8k and with porn's traffic being ~4-5x higher maybe $40k for the porn hole.

I don't think anybody would give us $50k for the sites. They probably owe that in expenses over the past 8 years.

Also I put little faith in that valuation since it lists the sites as being on DMOZ when they haven't been for years (because of the idiot fucking up plus613.com, hence having to go to plus613.net).

Interestingly, pawno is 'worth' $4k in its .com/net/org variants.

Anyway, back to cars. The Cruze is tolerable as long as I'm not paying full price. I get approx 33% discount on it, so it means every 11 months I can flip it for a new one more or less for the same price as I get for trade in on the old one. Means I also never have to pay registration or servicing.

You're right though, there's nothing to get excited about a car like that.

These days it's the ride and equipment levels that make the sale.
Especially if it's a city car where you won't break 60K/h anyway.
I've got a land cruiser these days and it's just for luxury and intimidation, I get no real value for money out of it but I expect to keep it a few years. Previously I had Scoobies and enjoyed the anonymous performance. I always wanted an M3 since they went to V8's but couldn't afford even a second hand model. Now that I can afford one they no longer appeal to me. If I lived in the USA I'd probably steal Fossils stanger. If you can get a deal like that and avoid depreciation then you'd be silly to go elsewhere than a Holden.

Yeah, it's the only reason I've got the Cruze.. certainly no love there.

My plans were for an M3 too, but they're just so expensive here, and we've bought the house and all that crazy stuff. Maybe when I'm a fossil too smiling
smiley By my midlife crisis, if there's still cars/petrol/etc maybe I'll have to relent and buy the Porsche, make up for lost time.

As you said though, it's impossible to drive a car in anger these days, especially in this state. Besides, I've probably done 500km in the past 12 months. No point buying a nice car..

How things have changed in the past decade!

from wikipedia....

Corinthian leather is a term coined by the advertising agency Bozell to describe leather[citation needed] used in certain Chrysler luxury vehicles beginning in 1974.[1] Although the term suggests that the product has a relationship to or origination from Corinth, there is no relationship; the term is a marketing concept. Some sources say it was a blend of leather and vinyl (seat surfaces were leather and seat sides were vinyl),[2] while other sources say it was simply a trade name for American produced leather,[3][4] much of which was produced at a plant outside Newark, New Jersey.[5]

The term was first used during the marketing campaign of the 1974 Chrysler Imperial, but the term is usually associated with the marketing campaign for the 1975 Chrysler Cordoba and that campaign's celebrity spokesperson, Ricardo Montalbán.
