I am happy that he wants to repeat 1776 again, and is prepared to do so -- since just like the muskets during the Revolutionary War, your average 30-06 is a single-shot rifle. He would not be squeezing off a second shot in the event of an actual conflict, he'll be cocking to reload when something lower-caliber stops him in his tracks.
