After buildin a new system for a buddy of mine I decided to pop for some new toys for mine and do a bit of reworkin while I was in the case installin the new hardware.

Dropped in a Coolermaster Gemini II CPU cooler and twin 120mm fans, a new 500 GB Hitachi SATA HD, swapped out an older IDE DVD-RW drive for a new SATA unit, installed an internal card reader in the long unused floppy drive opening, replaced the 2-80mm front case fans with a cuppla Coolermaster dual ball bearing units and then recyled the old RAM cooler by floppin it over on its brackets and makin a new base plate for it then attached it to the bottom of the case to act as a "home boy" graphics card cooler.

Nice! does it keep your beer cold too?

the only bark I have about it though is your main board is MSI. I have had nothing but headaches (waranty) with MSI and will never purchase one again.

Yeah, readin recent reviews on Tigerdirect there's lots of bitches/issues with MSI boards but this one has been up for 8 months now without any problems so maybe I got lucky. It also seems like a common complaint is the fans on the MoBos for the Northbridge/Southbridge coolers but mine is passively cooled, though the new CPU cooler does a helluva job at keepin it all cooled pretty well now !

For my buddys system we recently built we went with an XFX MoBo and graphics card because of the issues with the MSI boards, especially since he wanted his stuff actively cooled. The XFXs had rave reviews and seem to be doin fine.

He had his 10yr old daughter over last weekend and it was her 1st chance to put his new system to a "gamers test". She was really excited about how well it performed the graphics tasks with awesome speed and how crisp the display was compared to his old Gateway system thumbs

To much for me, can't get used to using a keyboard to play games with. I'll just stick with my PS3 and hand held controller. Use my computer for email.

I don't play games either, just never got into that stuff. I DL and play a lot of videos, use it as a music server for my house, thinkin about doin some audio/video editing, surf the ol www and do email.

This machine is far from the top end spec range of what's available these days but it still rocks like a hurricane ... in between spells of breakin the OS, which I seem to have a real flair for smileys with beer
