In the begining of =Showa= period (1930s), There was become popular.
That called =Bunka Jutaku= (Cultual houses), Japanese style parts with
European style drawing room.
There are some houses in Niigata city (my hometown). But the authorities
(Niigata city office) has no considers for preserve old houses like this as
=Bunka Isan= (Cultual heritages).

Nagaoka?
I think may be there was some houses like that.
But Nagaoka was all burn down by great air rade in Aug. 1, 1945's late at
night.
I saw houses like that Niigata city and Kashiwazaki city(Niigata pref.),
Kumagaya city(Saitama pref.), Utsunomiya city(Tochigi pref.) and Mito
city(Ibaraki pref.).
