Tiw, did you know that this flag (St.George cross) is also the flag of the City of Genova (Genoa in english)? People here in Genova say that it used to be so even before it became the English flag, since the times of the "Repubblica Marinara di Genova" that used to dominate the Mediterranean sea together with its enemy cities, Venice, Pisa and Amalfi.
