Well... I really don't see the U.S. "groveling" back to France. The reason why France was so desperately opposed to the Iraq invasion was because of all the lucrative deals powerful French industrialists and politicians had with Saddams regime. Apparently, many embarrassing documents have been found in Iraq that show France benefited nicely from the Baathists, and many Francs were made sneaking around the oil embargo voted in by the UN security council. I believe France is a sneaky nation with questionable principles, yet they are the first to flaunt cultural superiority and look down on others. I really wonder what France would be like if they were the undisputed world superpower.
