near Snow Hill north carolina in the U.S.A back in the 1860's a nigger raped and killed a white woman a mob caught him and cut off his head stuck his head upon a stick.The small stream (branch) has been known ever since as nigger head branch.I wonder did his head look anything like this fine specimen?
