France won the world cup in 98? So? it was 7 years ago! For the same reason then Boris Becker should be in the top ten of tennis players, while he is not!
If it was the Euro cup to count then France could never be before Greece who won it.
I think the FIFA classification is just a shit based probably on sponsors or other economical reasons.
More over, who did Argentina and Brazil beat? Soth american teams? Do we want to compare south american teams with european teams? It is not by chance if usually in the world cups the first 8 classified teams are mainly european, apart from brazil and argentina.
