This debate really touches on another topic that no one is mentioning: What ever happened to the idea that people could eventually start working less, and having more time for family and society?
The IWW once campaigned for "4 hour days/4 day weeks" ... with no reduction in pay.
Why should corporate America require more and more people to work 60 and 70 hour weeks for shite wages? Hiring "illegals" because they can be abused more? Building crap houses that leak and rot? WTF?
