Sad to say, the bad old USA is second bottom of the list when it comes to foreign aid assistance .. after Portugal.
Top of the list are Norway, Sweden, Netherlands giving 0.8% - 0.9% of their Gross National Income as Foreign Aid ... down at the bottom comes in the USA at 0.22%

Let me guess .. you just assumed that the US gave more than anyone else didn't you. You didn't bother to check. But hey! Don't let the facts get in the way of what you want to believe. You go right ahead thinking that you live in the most generous nation. Even though it's the least.
