You've voted them a 1 star at some point. And yes, sadly you have no friends until you add them. See DarkKlown's forum post in the plus613.net forum.

And yes, for those who haven't seen the forum post, we now have homepages for regular (read: registered) users! You can add friends, see what they've uploaded, see your favorite (rated 4 or 5 stars) and least favorite images as well as leave guestbook comments for people (or yourself.. if you're a bit sad).
