Haven't seen her in much since then but her part in American Beauty (one of my all time faves!) certainly put her on a lotta guys radar, as it also did with Thora Birch.
That movie appeals to me on so many levels : cast, direction, cinematography and plot. And .... sadly I think it's a pretty fair example of the dysfunction and angst within a large segment of families here, which makes it another fine example of art imitating life
