Get this:

I wrapped an original, orange '69 dual quad Hemi GTX around a cedar tree on Kent Island, Maryland, USA in December, 1979, drunk as a fucking skunk, heading home from a lascivious encounter with my girlfriend Sandy. Slid her on ice on Dominion Road, hit the tree at maybe 80 on the passenger side, broke the car in half, and I escaped unscathed. Bought the Plymouth for 600 bucks cash in Easton maybe six months earlier. Ran her on tags borrowed from my 440 Road Runner, stupid cops never noticed, and didn't care if I was drunk, I guess 'cause they were drunk too or maybe stoned on pot. Made some money from State Farm too, the dumb bastards. Ah, the good old days. Anyway, I had her remains dragged back home via Big Daddy's 301 Texaco and Dad said, "Wrecked yourself another one, huh?"

Oh well, that's the breaks. Though I was young and dumb then, I parted her out and saved the choice pieces for decades. Knew what to save too. Sold the Hemi in '92 for $6000, when I was 44, and it had locked up in the barn. Sold the A-833 Hemi four speed in 2002 for $3000, and the Dana 60 the same year for $2500.

The best part is that I sold the title, serial number, fender tag, cowl body serial, numbered trunk girder above the differential, and stock frame strengtheners, along with the production broadcasts, for $20,000 to an unnamed collector in 2008. I threw in the HD rear springs and original Hurst shifter, console and rotted bucket seats for free, along with the bent hood marked on each side with inserts labeled "HEMI".

I've seen her in her reincarnated glory at Carlisle via Satellite coupe - and she lives again!
