The US govt obviously has enough power to bust Fatboy Dotcom anyway, so what does it matter? SOPA and it's evil twin are dead for now and I doubt either will get much support for resurrection, especially considering it's an election year.
Our rights were compromised long ago, some before any of us were born. The tech twist to it is the same old wine in a brand new bottle.
