Old Vox tube amps are awesome, especially the AC30 AC15. It was about the only non-Fender amp of the era that came close to a Fender Deluxe Reverb in the "low power" amp class. Their guitars are basically run of the mill. Not bad but nothing to brag about. They came up with some interesting body shapes, most notably the Teardrop which was made popular by the blond dead guy from the Stones (Brain Jones). You couldn't play it sitting down though, it would slide off your thigh. The flying V from Gibson was another similarly impractical shape. When I was a kid in high school the music store had a 12 string Teardrop that was pretty frikkin cool. They also had an 8 string variant of it that had double course strings for the high B and E. That was unique and I've never seen another guitar like that since.
