I think `possums are one of God's ugliest ideas. I hate raccoons too but they do look a bit better. I don't have a particular problem with spiders. I am bigger, I can squash them. I tend to leave em alone or try to move them outside where they belong if they get annoying indoors, if I don't just smash em and be done with it. We have all kinds of spiders in the PNW. they are not endangered. Not much terribly dangerous either except for the brown recluse but they aren't that prolific and not here at the coast at all.
