on the contrary, this is a majority rules subject as far as how much of the 2nd amendment (as well as the rest of our rights) we are willing to give up to "feel" safe, it is more all of our decisions. our elected officials swore an oath to uphold the Constitution protecting everyone's rights, not their opinions or interpretations of the Constitution.
