Tipping here is for excellent service, and even then voluntary (though some places are pushing it a bit more). I don't understand the US tipping culture. I wholeheartedly believe that prices should factor service into them (and tax, for that matter).

Minimum wage here is $20.33 (~$15 USD) (edit: along with 10 paid sick days per year and 4 weeks annual leave) and casual employees get a 25% loading.

I completely agree that wages haven't kept pace with prices. Even though my wage has gone up I easily earn less now than 5 or 10 years ago.
