The drive from my house to one of my son's is three states and 14 hours, half of it just in Florida. To my daughter's it's parts of five states and 20 hours, again half of it in Florida. Florida is a long, skinny state but you're never more than an hour and a half from the ocean no matter where you are, though that kind of sucks in hurricane season.
