I boarded up my windows and headed southwest away from Ian the night before it hit and came back the day after. The eye went right over my area and though there's significant damage all around my place had relatively minor damage, a small hole in the roof, a shed roof gone with the wind and my fence blown all to bits. The place where I used to live and raised my family is probably a total loss. The areas a few miles south of here got the worst of the worst though. Got my power back on this morning from crews that came from halfway across the country and the clean up is underway.
