To be fair, from what I remember from social studies class many moons ago: the American preference is handguns, while the Swiss preference is rifles. The infographic of all those pistols popping up would be inaccurate. Also, a landlock neutral country has to defend itself against neighbors like Germany and Italy and of course bears; a standalone country with two peaceful neighbors and an isolated bear population has only to defend itself against itself.
