The Green Agenda 2030 and 2050 plan relied on a stable geopolitical situation and a continuous supply of cheap energy especially gas to bridge the gap into inefficient green energy and feudalism. The Ukraine war etc mucked up this timetable so now they need excuses why we must not rush this anymore.
