"We won't have to eat dog for at least a week!"
Mrkim Report This Comment Date: September 07, 2011 05:54AM

This one looks dead to me not just captured alive. Legs aren't secured and it
looks as though the jaws aren't taped either. If it comes back alive it will
kill a lot of Filipinos.
BlahX3 Report This Comment Date: September 07, 2011 02:38PM
The news report says it is alive and they are keeping it at a park for a
tourist attraction.
jgoins Report This Comment Date: September 08, 2011 11:45AM
Have you ever heard a news report lie about something?
BlahX3 Report This Comment Date: September 08, 2011 03:46PM
Of course I have but I don't dismiss everything in the news media as lies based
on a picture I saw on the internet.
quasi Report This Comment Date: September 08, 2011 06:00PM
Based on this picture that thing is either dead or heavily sedated and somehow
I don't think they have anything available there to sedate it with.
BlahX3 Report This Comment Date: September 08, 2011 06:20PM
Why stop there guys? It could be a giant croc conspiracy and the whole thing
was faked by a bunch of Filipino villagers. After fighting a long time against
nearly 100 humans I imagine the animal might have been just plain tired out. Now
they're saying it could be traumatized and won't eat. Hey, further evidence that
it's dead! Yeah, that's the ticket...
jgoins Report This Comment Date: September 09, 2011 10:24AM
Blah, why do you want it to be alive so bad? Nothing wrong with dead crocs and
gators.

I don't really care if it's dead or alive, I'm amused and think the discussion
is funny.

All I know is that gators don't go quietly and crocs are more energetic than
gators.

All reptiles will tire after only 20 seconds of exertion.
Cold blood can have advantages but stamina is not one of them.
However, something that big wouldn't need to use much energy to snap a human in
two!

Animal rights activists are now demanding the animal released back into the
wild so he can eat some more livestock and fishermen. I think they oughta shut
the fuck up and be happy they didn't kill the sumbich, have a feast and make a
shitload of shoes and purses.
jgoins Report This Comment Date: September 11, 2011 10:41AM
If animal rights activists want it released then it should be fed a chicken
with a grenade in side it right in front of the activists.
BlahX3 Report This Comment Date: September 11, 2011 04:02PM
That won't work because it not eating yet. You'll have to come up with another
idea, hopefully involving Sarah McLaughlin nude.
BlahX3 Report This Comment Date: September 12, 2011 02:15AM
Never mind about the Sarah nude thing, I looked at a bikini pic of her. It
still might be a good idea to feed her to the croc anyway though.

How about a naked Sarah Michelle Geller shooting it with an RPG.

Buffy in the buff ..... now I'll buy that for a dollar
BTW, you cats leave Sarah outta this. She could sing me the "You're a
Silly Bastard" song every night and so long as she was singin it just for
me I'd swoon

Sarah McL kills me with her voice too. But just because someone is a great
musician and artist doesn't mean I agree with their choices and how and what
they choose to support publicly (and probably get paid for). I'm all for animal
rights to a point but for shit's sake enough is enough and that soppy cry over
the poor puppies on TV shit honestly gags me. They are fucking DOGS! In some
countries that's dinner. Why isn't she singing In The Arms Of The Angel for the
sake of cattle? Or pigs? Or chickens? What's the difference? They eat frogs and
gators and snakes in Louisiana. What about them?
Mrkim Report This Comment Date: September 13, 2011 02:41AM
I pretty much disassociate my musical likes from the artists personal
habits/political positions, etc.
As one who also writes from time to time I always appreciate good poetry, and
when an artist manages to combine awesome poetry and great music too I'm
seriously wowed.
Bruce Sprinsteens "Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J." is a shining
example of that .... along with almost anything The Doors did. Morrison was an
awesome poet and I wish Springsteen haddn gotten away from those roots
Amy Winehouse was a decent poet/storyteller and her voice let her really play
with the lyrics a lot, which was cool, especially since I liked her style of
blues/pop/jazz/funk/almost reggae, but .... I could never get behind her
lifestyle choices, although a good part of that is what made her music what it
was all in all

Animals are animals, they should never have more rights than humans.
BlahX3 Report This Comment Date: September 13, 2011 06:58PM
I agree with separating talent from lifestyle choices and that yes the two do
interact. How could they not? I am not familiar with Amy at all. I kind of
differ in some ways about the Doors though. I think some of Jim's poetry was
kinda sloppy. Not to say I didn't enjoy it. I just think people like Joni
Mitchell and Jackson Browne do a better job of that painting pictures with words
and music. Same for Leonard Cohen, who I hated to hear but loved his
compositions performed by others.
Mrkim Report This Comment Date: September 13, 2011 07:45PM
Dude, I am such a fan of Joni myself, have been for 30+yrs now. I fell in love
with her music when "The Circle Game" came out and fell even harder
when she released the "Court And Spark" album.
I think I have just about everything she ever did (21 studio albums) including
a lotta pretty crappily done bootleg stuff, some of which was of such poor sound
quality I finally dumped it. Some my personal faves are tunes like "The
Jungle Line", "Car on a Hill", "Furry Sings the Blues",
"Amelia", just to name a few
The street poetry stuff that was all over the tracks on Springsteens album I
mentioned has always fascinated me too and really miss his departure from that
style.
If you'd like to check out a decent track by Amy W. give this one a try [

I've always been a serious sucker for female vocalists like Paula Cole, Dido,
Grace Slick, Beth Orton, Fiona Apple (<- released a knock-out album at just
17!), Joan Baez (started listenin to her in the mid 60s), Kate Bush and many
many more. My female vocalists comprise a favorite section all their own in my
files. BTW, ever heard Juliette Lewis' version of "Hardly Wait" which
she sang in the movie "Strange Days" ? Awesome stuff
