A free and adversarial press is necessary in our democracy but what most the
media has forgotten is that they need to be accurate and truthful. Now most the
media don't seem to care if the "facts" they report on are real or not
as long as those "facts" support their stance and that is not good for
anyone or the country. Too many people in the world believe the media is still
truthful and unbiased like they used to be in the long gone past but they are
not. back in the old days the media consisted of only news papers and reporters
back in the day had to get their stories right and had to have corroboration for
their facts. Now the media consist of many more outlets and integrity has been
thrown out the window.

The News organizations are no longer news.
They are advocacy groups for Liberalism.
As a branch of the Democrat party, they only deserve to be ignored.

They should not be ignored, they should be persuaded to return to reporting the
news accurately and save their bias for the editorial section. I don't know how
to persuade them but there must be some way.

They will never change, they would rather go bankrupt.
They have tried to set themselves up as a branch of the democrat party and
assist the party in controlling the population.
They need to be made irrelevant, shunned and go out of business.

kill your television

I know Pro, it seems to me that the TV is trying to subliminally indoctrinate
our youth to be more politically correct trough the shows and the commercials as
well. For example they are trying to eliminate racism by showing interracial
relationships more and more even though it doesn't matter because the schools
are doing it with our kids. When all the old racists die they hope racism will
be dead as well. But I digress, TV does have one saving grace, "Last Man
Standing". I love the show because Tim Allen is a lone Republican in a
house full of Democrats and he seems to win.

I think the deal with fake news is not so much to do with political bias. Some
of the above sounds like cat lady conspiracy theories to me.
I think the deal with fake news is that news is not news anymore, it's
entertainment and it competes for clicks and advertising revenue like everything
else on TV and the internet. So fake news is exactly that, it's made up, it's
not real and it's easy to see. Sensationalism is the new norm, even for
traditionally conservative news organisations, they need the revenue.

I used to be able to tell my kids and grand-kids that the only things you see
on TV that are true is the news and not to believe what they see. Now you can't
believe anything you see on TV an especially on the internet. There used to be
something called truth in advertising but not any longer. I guess what my
father always told me is true, "don't believe anything you hear and only
half of what you see". People once said on here and I am paraphrasing a
bit, truth can be found on the internet but you have to search for it. There is
no truth anywhere in the world only the truth you are willing to accept that
fits into your beliefs.
