I virtually never post anything really sincere here, because so little else is
it'd just be a drag.
That having been said, I hereby submit an exception: Let's hold these people in
our thoughts and prayers.
Best wishes and my condolences to the residents of Victoria and their friends
and families. I have no idea if 613 is close to Victoria, but I hope everybody
is as "okay" as okay can be in a castastrophe like this.
There but for the Grace of God, etc....
Amen...crack brew.....

We are indeed residents of Victoria and this is indeed a dark time for our
state. Myself and pulse are located in the City so are relatively safe, but both
have many friends out in the country and our wishes are with them.

Yep as DK said, we're both Victorian residents, but both also relatively safe
from the carnage going on in the rest of the state due to living in the
city.
Many aren't so lucky.

For those in Australia who don't have the cash to donate if you do your
shopping at Coles on friday they will donate all profits from that day to the
Bushfire appeal.
[
www.coles.com.au]
If you can't donate money, go through the wardrobe and send any clothes you
haven't worn in a while, remember these people only have the clothes they left
the house in.
Blood donation is also needed. Remember one blood donation can save 3 people.

Thanks for the tip off, I've added taht to the front page IOTW section.
Also as mentioned there, if you DO have money to donate, you can do so from
anywhere in the world, to the Australian Red Cross Bushfire Appeal, [
www.redcross.org.au]
I've donated $200, which will kindly be doubled by my employer to total $600.
They accept donations starting at just $5.
