WHERE ARE PEOPLE GETTING THIS SHIT THAT WE ARE IN IRAQ FOR OIL!?!?!? I wish we were. I'm getting tired of gas prices going up and up and up and up and up and up and u and upp and up and up and up and up and up!!!!!!!

We're not in it so you will have cheap gas prices. We're in it so the oil companies can have more oil and charge more and say the high prices are cause of the war.

Of course Bush took us to war in Iraq for oil. We all now know that Saddam Hussein had nothing to do with 9/11, there were no WMD's, and there was no imminent threat. What other reason could Bush possibly have for being there?

It was for strategic occupation of oilfields, not lowering of consumer prices. With China growing an needing more oil, the US in Iraq is able to fuck around with the supply, and mess with OPEC, and have a handle on China, somewhat. Of course, China is teaming up with Russia and Iran for energy and defense, so things are getting interesting.
