The Greek Orthodox Church denounce the fact that so much of the earth is
British Empire and Commonwealth, not Greek. It's preaching a victim complex, to
denounce the fact the world is "pink" (the colour their maps show the
Empire and Commonwealth). They've been at it for decades or more.
They get the same mileage out of it the Rabbis do preaching "Everyone wants
to kill us because we're Jews".

The Commonwealth is the greatest thing to happen to the world, apart from maybe
the USA.
If it's not part of the Commonwealth or the USA then it's most likely a literal
shit hole.

I used to know someone who travelled much of the non-tourist parts of
yankeeland and he saw a third world country. The media impression is false. I
knew someone else who backpacked around Los Angeles and saw murder, robbery and
police response: "They only solve crimes by accident". I knew
someone else who made a lot of money as a marketing manager in New York and his
description, apart from telling me to never trust a yank with a gun (a five foot
long machine gun, with a stand and bayonet, chambered in... wait for it... 9mm
pistol! "I load [the cartridges] to critical level!"

, taught me just how segregated the classes are
over there.
The stories of wealthy women putting on matching underwear, calling it an outfit
and going to a party, or driving like that to a friends' house, are true. And
stories of spending money they are not earning to prove their 'prosperity', thus
destroying themselves or the organisation whose money it is. So too is Quasi's
photo of people living under a bridge. The class divides are rigid. It's
facilitated by the lack of a living wages case, but also, the more their
establishment railed against monarchy and nobility, and presented them as still
medieval, the more they make their country that way. It's not Britain they're
copying, but Portugal in the 1400's - the beginning of the African slave trade
across the Atlantic.
