Waay toooo subdued. Needs big flames, skull and crossbones, multi-colored squadron decals, etc.

Early in WWII, the fighters and bombers were painted in camouflage or olive drab/sky gray....when we were kicking ass, they dropped any pretense of camouflage and came out with some kickass wild colors on a bright aluminum skin....try and stop us! Squadrons competed to see who could come up with the wildest and boldest color schemes......bright yellows, reds, blues, greens, purples, oranges. The fighters looked like modern day dragsters all decked out in "look at me" graphics and paint. Go for it!!!!!

Even though that's a photoshop model, it looks like it could be a very useful floating hospital or similar utility.

yeah it has no offense potential at the moment just by looking for weapons ports (unless america has learned the suicide bomber tactic... but i think these cost just a LITTLE bit too much for that) so it would have to me a support ship wouldnt it?

It needs more landing pads to be a floating hospital,something we have forgoten is that in real wars casualties come in alot quicker.We have been spoiled the last few wars.

Wait a minute: cheap; very low draft [2-3m] high speed [50+ knots]; stealthy [hence air cover often not required]; choppers set up for:
i) anti-sub;
ii) SAS-type infiltration/extraction;
iii) extraction of downed aircrew
[eg Bosnia F117];
iv) drop a squad or two of Marines for an
Al-Quaida execution/arrest;
v) provide fast disaster response.

Come on, add a few of these to each battle group, and separate pairs here and there around the world and you have a new, flexible way to project force that suits the modern conflict areas around the world, and a rapid response to disasters [eg tsunami] that doesn't exist at present.

50 knots for 12 hrs adds 700 miles to the chopper' range, gives the people time to set the chopers up for the mission reqs and then provides a local base for comms, basic med facility etc. while the conventional units catch up.

Think flexible!
