The shorts were fashioned from a Pink Floyd album
cover? I have an identical car...had engine fire.

forth and rip some concrete!! And my racing days were born overnight. although
those days are no longer, yeah right. who want's ta play???!!!

Great personal auto-history there, f_d !
I've still got by "baby-poop yellow" MGB...can't
decide what to do with it...it's sprouting weeds.
Now it's an '83 Jag XJS that keeps the sheriff
looking for me. Not quite street-legal, and a
heck of a lot of fun.
fossil_digger Report This Comment Date: October 15, 2005 02:31PM
wanted real bad a 67 or 68 jag, the old long body, 12 cylinder, sweet. came
close to a good one but let it slide for the triumph. what year B ya got?
Anonymous Report This Comment Date: October 15, 2005 03:12PM
'76...swear it's the twin to yours, except for
the pin striping. Long body Jag? As in a E-type?
Doesn't everyone long for one? My XJS has one of
the first "HE" V12's. A decent power plant...very
smooth w/ a long power curve. Coupled to GM
Turbo 400 trans that I've "worked". Wish it was
a stick 'tho.
fossil_digger Report This Comment Date: October 15, 2005 04:33PM
the stripes were added by a buddy of mine whose dad was a big b fan. every time
that peice of shit broke, we fixed at his house. made the car last alot longer
than it would have. 2 clutches, 2 alternators,2 waterpumps, everything seemed to
go in 2's on this car. but i drove it like i stole it!
Anonymous Report This Comment Date: October 15, 2005 05:50PM
That's pretty cool stuff...I work on Asian and European cars for a living, and
did some engine and restoration work on a Jag XJ12C...pretty rare car. My
personal project in progress right now, is an XJ6L with a 5.7L GM LT4, 4L80E
trans. It's a bare block build, has been dyno'd at 530HP. Can't wait to finish
it and send it out for paint. Jag purists may scoff, but there's no arguing with
Horsepower!

good ole vette motor. drove a '80 L-82 for a short time,short time 3 weeks i
think and that damn squirley ass got out and around and back and around and
booooooooooooom! fiberglass and concrete wall meet. then came the cuda just
flopped in my lap for 2000.00 great cond. I drug my feet for...10 years to
totally beast out the cuda,a purist thing, but saw one at some street races
blowin' flames and smokin' and i turned to a buddy and said,"we've got work
to do, bro! obviosley wish i'dve kept original, fuck! cuda has been adopted by a
good friend for cash to go toward the next generation race car project srt-10
'04 50,000m stright, run hard from looks of previous head-banger owner. but
thats what i like. break it in! it's a f'n v-10!!
Anonymous Report This Comment Date: October 17, 2005 04:18PM
Is that a "John's Cars" conversion 90130? I've
often considered going the "hybrid" route. Only
so much can be done with Jigwire plant. You can
blow your budget in a blink.
fossil_digger has a speed problem! Would that I
had a 'Cuda "flop in my lap"!!! Had a '69 GTO
with Ram Air III motor (molested) with the M21
"Rock Crusher" tranny. Swear it would lift the
front wheels with the L-60's deflated. But...no
match for the resident Hemi Cuda. A very fast car
fossil_digger Report This Comment Date: October 18, 2005 04:30AM
back then that car got no respect, everyone thought they could beat it. "
it's only stock".i'd say," put your $ where your mouth is. afterwards
they were very quiet, only wanting to verify that there was'nt any nitrous or
something under hood. then the beast was released, and it got alot harder to
find mullets! hahahahahahahahaha
Anonymous Report This Comment Date: October 18, 2005 09:25PM
26135, nope...was a ground up build, conversion, and restoration. The only
thing I bought were the conversion motor mounts and adapters. Borla stainless
headers were slightly modified for clearance on the left side, and dual high
flow cats with stainless mufflers and resonators were the only real fabrication
work. I have welders, TIG and MIG, Lathes and Mills at my shop for all the
additional fab.

Way cool there, 90130...colour me jealous!
You'll have quite the "sleeper" on your hands.
I never sported a mullet. I swear...never.
