Btw, women weren't wearing burqas in Iraq. Only Afghanistan where the Taliban instituted sharia law (who, btw, are regrouping and attacking as a sort of milita these days.)

this has nothing to do with sharia law. women in many arab countries have the choice to wear, or not to wear a burqa or an abaya. this picture could be from anywhere, it could even be from your beloved united states.
If the U.S really wants to spread democracy, they need to look first at thier friends. U.A.E, Bahrain, Qatar.
They "spread" democracy to Iraq, then sign a free-trade agreement with Bahrain. A country that does not allow freedom of expression, freedom to congregate.
